"Lurking", a new edition to my wildlife series. Thank you to Juror, Mark Mehaffey for selecting "Lurking" as one of the 80 paintings for the 43rd Southern Watercolor Society Annual Juried Exhibition which was to be held in May 2020 at the Custom House Museum in Clarksville, Tennessee. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the physical show was cancelled, and in its place an online virtual show was created. The link address is: https://www.southernwatercolorsociety.org/virtual-gallery.
Lurking received the "Holbein Merchandise Award" which I am so grateful to Mark Mehaffey for selecting Lurking for this award and to Holbein Fine Art Manufacturing for their generosity.
Lurking was also one of 150 out of 537 entries accepted by Juror Dawn Emerson to show in the 12th Biennial National Art Exhibit hosted by the Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda, Florida. February 7 - March 24, 2020.
Lurking was also awarded 3rd Place in ArtCenter Manatee's "Go Wild" open, all media, juried exhibition October 8 - November 8, 2019; Juror: Kim Anderson. This mixed-water-media on Yupo paper brings the American alligator right into your living room. You can sense the menacing power and allure of this formidable reptile as he lurks in the shadows of the grasses. Measuring 26.00"H x 40.00"W; Copyright © 2019; Wendell Graham; All rights reserved.
